NUS GOES ON!
First NUS was held in January 2012 and
it proved to be a successful event with high attendance at the
inauguration ceremony, as well as in the rest of the 8-day program held
at different locations in Split, Croatia. Considering last year's experience
(we recived 110 applications with 223 exhibition works, 70 artist was
chosen from 9 countries who presented themselves with 101 artwork), we are expecting
on NUS 2013 at least 70 participants from 10 different countries. Also we expect, same as last year, coverage of NUS in all relevant media, including national TV stations. Over 2000 festival
visitors are expected.
Program of NUS 2013 will include a
group exhibiton, screenings, public debates, lectures, 8-day
alternative library, performance, actions and interventions in public
space. It will be held in
Multimedia cultural centar (MKC) Split and on the public ground of city Split, Croatia.
Topic of NUS 2013 is 'taboo', so in
accordance of the theme entire event will be focused on rethinking of
social taboos, the problems that we are living with and trying to find
their solutions. All of this will be done in a creative and fresh approach
of artists.
